Happy New Year!!!
We rang in the new year at SK Ranch with PawPaw, MeeMaw, & Uncle Jr. It was nice out during the day. Nick got to drive around in his new Go Kart. At night, it got a little chilly but sitting but he campfire helped.

We spent Christmas with the Gee Family.
Nick put leggos (especially Batman Leggos), BayBlade, and Nerf gun on his Christmas list this year.
Danni didn’t have too much to say about her Christmas List, but we know it will be there soon enough.
Nick’s Holiday Party
Nick’s class had their holiday party today. Debi went to help out while Chuck took care of Danni. The class was served ice cream sundaes and had a book exchange. Nick is now out of school for Winter Break for 2 weeks.
2nd month Follow up Visit
Danni had her 2 month follow up visit for her ear pit repair. All is good and we don’t have to go back unless issues come up. YAY!

Happy Birthday Danni!!!
Danni celebrated her 2nd birthday today. We kept it low key since we partied all weekend for both Nick and Danni’s birthday.
Birthday Party together
Nick wanted to share his birthday party with his baby sister. It was originally planned for November so it would be between both of their birthday. Unfortunately, Danni had different plans. She broke her foot in September and then had ear pit repair surgery in November. Nick had the option of doing a party without Danni but opted to wait for Danni to feel better. Today, we had their birthday party together at Texas Skatium where they could skate and bounce. Danni did great on skates and occasionally used a helper to skate. Nick was a pro at inline skates.
1 Month Follow up Visit
Danni had a 1 month follow up visit to check her ear pit repair. It is healing well. She will have a 2 month post-op visit and if all is good with that then no more visits unless there are issues.
Happy Thanksgiving
Happy Thanksgiving Everyone! We spent Thanksgiving with the Gee Family. The guys (Chuck, PawPaw, Uncle Jr, & Uncle Dean) went hunting after Thanksgiving lunch. Nick, Debi, MeeMaw, & Danni went to the Gee House. There was no black Friday shopping this year. It was off the SK Ranch for some campfire fun.
Surgery – Ear Pit Repair
Danni had surgery today to repair her ear pit. There are 6 pits that form the ear during fetal development. In some people, 1 or more pits doesn’t close completely. If the ear pit allows fluid to pass through it, it can cause infections and is painful. Danni has had this infection since July. It went away temporarily in August but came back at the end of August worse than it was in July. We had a rough start because she told all the people in scrubs “No! No!”. She doesn’t like people who wear scrubs to come near her. It is a battle at the doctor’s office most of the time. While sitting in the waiting room, we could hear her crying. It took about 20 minutes to calm her down. The nurses and doctors stayed outside the curtains and one of us would have to go out and talk to them. If they came into the curtain or Danni saw them, she would start screaming and crying again. Her monitors kept going off everytime too, so they stopped coming in. She is watching TV with Chuck and there is no crying so she seems to be doing fine.
Boot is off
Danni had her follow up visit with the orthopedic at Children’s. Her foot is healing nicely so no more boot. YAY! It really didn’t slow her down any at all but nice to have 2 of the same shoes on. Her right shoes are a little wore compared to her left but she doesn’t really notice.
